Head Chef Francesco Volgo has been with The Calcot Collection for many years following various chef roles in well-respected Cotswold hotels and his most recent role was as Head Chef of Calcot’s Gumstool Inn. He and his team are passionate about local fresh produce and the vegetables served at Barnsley House are from its own kitchen garden.
Francesco and his team will offer you lemon sole, nut brown butter & brown shrimp, 36 hour pork belly & loin, choucroute, chorizo & heritage carrot, braised neck and roasted rump of lamb, pea cappelletti, gerlot onion and much more.
During the summer and well into our mild autumns, The Potager’s doors and windows open onto the garden, which creates an idyllic space for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You may also be joined by our resident robin who is known to pop in from time to time.
