The perfect example of an English country garden, the gardens here at Barnsley House were created in the 1950s by the renowned garden designer, Rosemary Verey. Today, much of the seasonal produce you'll taste in our restaurant has been freshly picked from our bountiful kitchen garden.

Lovingly tended by our Head Gardener Jennifer Danbury and her team, our kitchen garden yields much of the wonderful produce you'll find on our menus… freshly picked every morning.

Our chefs work closely with Jen to plan the fruit and vegetables we grow in the gardens. Their knowledge and passion ensure only the finest and freshest seasonal produce makes its way to your plate.

So once you've tasted our seasonal menu in the restaurant, linger a while longer, explore our fairytale garden and say hello to our chickens and bees.
