Barnsley House's English country garden, designed by renowned garden designer Rosemary Verey in the 1950s, continues to provide inspiration to our guests, as well as produce for our restaurants.
From garden to table
Head Gardener Jennifer Danbury and her team are responsible for the delicious garden-fresh herbs, salads and vegetables you'll find on menus at The Potager and The Boot. Freshly picked from our kitchen garden every morning.
Our executive chef, John Jewell, along with his team, work closely with Jen to plan the fruit and vegetables we grow in the gardens at the start of each growing season. Together, their knowledge of horticulture and gastronomy allow diners to experience the finest and freshest produce.
