Here at Barnsley House we love weddings (!) and though we also host big marquees, we are no stranger to smaller weddings too.

Over the years we have seen intimate exclusive take overs of just 20 guests to non-exclusive celebrations for all numbers, all the way down to just 2 with members of the wedding team acting as witnesses to the vows. The ‘new normal’ is not necessarily so new to us!

The Garden Temple offers the perfect romantic setting for your nuptials and full access to the grounds and gardens provides a great myriad of photograph opportunities.

The soft hues of our Potager Restaurant provide a calming backdrop for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner in an area made private just for you.

A lot of the elements of a wedding remain the same regardless of size, a fab location, stunning flowers, great food and most importantly, a marriage to that special person! You can still come to stay in our fabulous suites, make use of the cinema for your hen / stag night and have a great time getting ready in the morning with your hair dresser and makeup artist, maybe even a trip to the spa.

You needn’t worry about not having time to speak to each guest on the day, complicated seating plans or inviting that guy from work you’d really rather not have there!
