Real Weddings – Nicola & Chris

It is widely known that us in the wedding industry have been waiting for the start of wedding season with bated breath! With a mixture of excitement and a few little nerves on our part, we have welcomed back weddings to Barnsley House with a bang!

Nicola & Chris chose to have a small intimate wedding, with their family and closest friends – so had no need to worry about restrictions affecting them hugely. And what a wedding it was…

Nicola designed the most beautiful day taking advantage of the garden surroundings, gorgeous temple and luckily – the beautiful weather! Her suppliers bought the vision to life, transforming the Temple to a floral dream, a beautiful cake, one of our favourite string quartets, some stunning pictures, and a wedding video we cannot wait to see.

Intertwined into their day were the most personal of touches, that really set the day apart. Firstly Chris, being a Geordie, had his favourite Newcastle Brown Ale available for him and the guests – all small taste of home! A personalised newspaper in everyone’s room, Nicola’s sister had organised a video of all their family and friends sending good wishes and toasts to the happy couple (including a blooper reel at the end of a film!) and, my favourite, the G&T hour!

All in all, we loved working with Nicola & Chris, and it was a huge honour that they chose to hold their wedding with us. Their beautiful day will be so fondly remembered by us all and we cant wait to see them again soon!
