MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Duty Manager is a key member of the management team within the hotel
Host, supervise, co-ordinate, plan and participate in all the activities of the Hotel operations to maximize sales
In collaboration with the teams oversee daily operational objectives and ensure guest satisfaction is attained
Ensure smooth, efficient and professional service from arrival to departure of our guests by communicating across the food and beverage teams, kitchen, reservations, events, housekeeping and Spa.
Lead and motivate our ambassadors, focusing on multi-skills development and total flexibility throughout the hotel operations
Review and support the levels of staffing in accordance with business needs
Ensure reception duties of guest billing and cashiering is posted accurately
Investigate and resolve complaints or queries efficiently
Monitor business activity to achieve successful performance (managing payroll, P&L, stock management)
In collaboration with the General Manager oversee operational objectives and ensure guest satisfaction is attained
The successful candidate
Experience as a Duty Manager in a luxury hotel operation
Strong financial & commercial acumen
Excellent team development, communication and people management skills
A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
Strong leadership, coaching, performance management and people development skills
Calm, confident, charismatic and very well-presented individual
IT literate - working with systems & process
