Maintenance Assistant - Part Time
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To assist with the general maintenance across the site
To carry out effective repairs to all reported faulty/damaged equipment
To carry out preventative maintenance checks to allocated sections of equipment i.e. Water softener, pool plant, air conditioning etc.
To carry out small building works
To move heavy equipment or furniture when required to do so, using advised manual handling techniques and/or seeking assistance
To carry out various quarterly, six monthly, annual tests
To have the ability to be called out in an emergency, or as required by the hotel
To carry out a role within the Maintenance team to achieve a high-class standard of response time to any breakdown or damage
To report any risks or possible health and safety problems to Management immediately
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, whatever or wherever work is being carried out in the buildings, and to maintain the workshop in the top condition
To look after the company tools and equipment and highlight any damaged equipment so it can be repaired if economical or replaced
Good understanding of both fire and health and safety policy and practices
Ensure that the machinery is regularly maintained and kept in good and sage working order
Implement golden rules of Hospitality
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
Formal training in maintenance
Sound knowledge and use of machinery
Professional attitude
Ability to work to a very high standard without the need for supervision.
Fit and capable of heavy work
Self-motivated
